Ndlovu is a small elephant who is visiting our class from South Africa care of toyvoyagers.com. This week we wrote some narratives about him. We had to think up a problem (a complication) he might have and how he might have fixed his problem (a resolution).

Ndlovu the Elephant – By UN
One night Ndlovu the elephant went outside to see the stars. He said, “What a bright star!” When he had seen the stars he came back and banged on the door. Suddenly the door crashed. Then he had tea and all the people said, “What is going on?” Ndlovu said “I’m sorry” and someone threw a stick on his toes. Suddenly it broke. Someone called the ambulance and they fixed his toes.
One morning 2RR and Miss R came to meet him and they said “Are you okay?” and then he said “Yes.” So they waited for him until he felt better. One morning he was better and he said to the nurse “I feel better.” The nurse said “Okay, but you have to be careful.” Then Ndlovu walked carefully back to his house and 2RR and Miss R helped him. So he had fun with 2RR and Miss R. He lived happily ever after.

Ndlovu the South African Elephant – by AM
One scorching day Ndlovu was sitting with us and he was eating. He was eating our food and said “Yum!” He ate all of our food all up. He really liked it. Days went by and 2RR got hungrier. Ndlovu got fuller and healthier. He went home to Africa and the African people gave him the food that he used to like. He said “No! No! I want spaghetti from Australia!” Everyone did not know how to make spaghetti. Ndlovu was very sad and worried. Ndlovu went to his bed and cried a lot. He called 2RR and told them to give him spaghetti. Finally he got some spaghetti.
